The kid was cute and it was nice that these two people who used to know each other got back in touch. However, the premise of the book made it all a bit odd. Like as soon as TK came back into her life, he was just super comfortable with her (their) son ? Like a lot of it just felt kinda off. But it was nice to watch them find their way back to each other. I listened on audio and she did a good job of distinguishing everyone's voices and stuff. The book also addressed health issues related to football (which this is strangely the second romance I've read this year addressing the same issue). I liked the sound of the cool restaurant that shows up later in the book. 3.5/5 stars.

3.5 stars.

3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I didn't love this one as much as I did the first in the series. There was a lot of extraneous drama that wasn't necessary to move the plot forward and was never really resolved either. Still excited for the next book, though. :)

Cuuuuute.

4.5 stars! Loved these characters, was hooked in before chapter 4.

Alexa Martin, I have read two of your books and you are quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.

Poppy, Ace and TK, WOW. THIS ENTIRE BOOK WAS FILLED WITH RATIONAL, COMMUNICATIVE CHARACTERS. THEY SAW PROBLEMS AND THEY DISCUSSED.

CAN OTHER AUTHORS JUMP ON BOARD WITH THIS PLEASE?? SPEAK. MY GOODNESS.

Really liked this second chance romance with a secret baby thing that for once actually worked for me. And I liked that it dealt with the issue of brain injuries in the NFL and in (American) football generally. I like Alexa Martin's voice and her feisty heroines are so much fun. Her connection to the game really shines through as well.

I loved Poppy. I love TK. I love the reality, negatives and all, of football were shown.
