Niet alle essays zijn even relevant meer en hierdoor soms een tikkeltje saai om te lezen, maar de analyse van de mythische taal is scherp en interessant. Dit is was ik eerder had verwacht van Erich Fromm, maar dan beter.

the first half is very much "grumpy old french man being snarky about everything". a lot of very specific cultural references. but the second half really brings it together into a very smart take on language and society. very influential. precursor to charles gaines' metaphor/metonymy debate.
