This was my first Willow Winters book! I did enjoy the story and relationship. I didn’t swoon for Charlie as I imagined I would. I do predominantly ready Fantasy and just started getting into spicy adult romance books. Overall I did like it and enjoy it. The writing was good and I loved the chemistry between Charlie and Grace. I’ll definitely be reading more of W Winters books.

Willow's angst and dark twisted characters of her Mafia worlds really sing to my own twisted soul. but this book? It's the compete opposite of what I've previously read am an used to in her work and I. LOVED. IT

From the very first page my heart broke for Grace. But daymn that girl knew what she wanted and even though agreeing to be Charlie's date was something that could potentially derail her she still did it anyway. Grace was so sweet! I loved her openness, her ability to adapt and her drive.

I thought for sure Charlie was gonna be a cocky, jaded and completely full of himself but he wasn't. He was a little unsure, maybe a tiny bit jaded but he really did want, one day, what his mum keeps trying to razz him about.

This book vibes acquaintances to friends to lovers with basically the snap of your fingers. Grace and Charlie have known each other for a year as she frequents the bar that he owns. You don't see anything from the past year but their already well on their way to a proper friend ship and the attraction is palpable on both their halves from the second that Grace walks into Macs after getting bad news.

Needing to do something to get his parents off his back, Grace makes a joke that leads straight into a fake-dating thingy that could or could not end badly.

I strongly disliked most of the secondary characters, especially the ones that were super hung up on Charlie and completely disregarded Grace and her accomplishments. I'm looking at you Diane.

There's the right blend of City meets Country here too. Charlie's bar is on the outskirts of the small town he grew up in closer to the big city and Grace works in the big city but would ultimately one day move a little bit closer to that country living.

All in All I found this a short, sweet and simple story that will probably make you swoon just a little, with a tad miscommunication but mostly smooth sailing. Grace and Charlie are kinda adorable.

Easy, kinda’ kinky small town romance. Wasn’t horrid to read and I didn’t mind being lost in the story for a while.

”Whatever you want, it’s yours.”

So. Much. Miscommunication. Like so much. It’s just a miscommunication after miscommunication. Lord above.
