Never even really finished this book. I ended up giving it to my grandmother. I think she would enjoy the "down home" stories more than I would.
I specifically didn't like how she would change her point of view from that of a four year old to forty within the same sentence, much less the same chapter

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was SO refreshing to listen to someone look back lovingly at their happy childhood! The audiobook version made it even more personal - the author is HILARIOUS, and hearing her words come out of her mouth made me spit water on my dashboard while driving more than once. A lot of what she says is really understated, but if you catch it, laugh-out-loud funny. She's a comic genius with an apparently rich background from which to draw her fodder.

This has got to be one of my top 10 favorite memoirs of all time!! If you want a good laugh, and need an uplifting little tale, read about Zippy's childhood!! Completely worth it!

Been a long time since I read this. I don’t remember enough details to review. But I do remember I really liked it.

I loved this book. Several laugh out loud moments, but also several tender ones.

I love a good memoir, but this one fell very flat for me. I think it got some good reviews, but I don't see why.
