I have so many thoughts but the ending of this book was worth it. The book started slowly and I was taking my time reading it, not sure where this was all going. But around 30% through I could not put the book down anymore and I finished it in one go. I still have so many questions about this world, Caeden's timeline (because millennias of story is hard to keep track of), Cyr's involvement at the end? And the truth about where Davian comes from?? I NEED ANSWERS.
I read the author's note about Aelaric and Dazia and a possible stand alone in the future. I would be interested in reading it because while I was waiting for this plot line to close as all lines close at the end of the book, I really thought the author had forgotten about them until they appeared out of nowhere

In the end, I liked the first book the most and the second book the least. Overall, I did like this series and as a whole it's a solid 4. So a 4.25 stars for this book sounds fair.
