Not a particularly well-written book but since it was from a teen's perspective, I gave it a bit of leeway in that regard (except for the misuse of words like to/too and were/where). There were plenty of plot holes in this sick and demented horror/thriller but I was entertained the whole time... and isn't that what matters in the end.

Basically Jimmy is a boy who has certain fetishes. Jimmy kidnaps a local girl ties her up, enjoys hurting her, rapes her, kidnaps ANOTHER girl, starts to fall for a friend, then realizes he may not need to keep the other two tied up because he may be content with just sex with said friend. Everything goes downhill fast towards the end, and I won't lie I'm upset with how the brother died! Absolutely love William Malmborg and like usual he is amazing at writing things that are oddly creepy yet interesting.

Jimmy is an interesting book that falls short. It's about a young serial rapist/kidnapper/killer in the making. It was an easy read that I read over the course of 2.5 days. For such a graphic novel, there wasn't really graphic content about sexual stuff (just a handy) and not as much violence as I would have expected. Seems like Jimmy was taking his time I guess. Book was suspenseful and kept me on edge, but I was let down by the lack of action in most of the book and quick easy resolution. Too quick. I do like how you get into each of the characters heads, so you really see the reality of all victims, direct and indirect, of violence. Overall a decent book, cool title, but could have been better. Not gonna lie, I was disappointed as I kept waiting for more stuff to happen. Don't know what that says about me, but whatever.

Not what I was expecting. Quick read but odd read. High schoolers focused on prepping for prom in the midst of 2 girls’ disappearance. Only to find out it is the work of the quiet kid, who works out avoid being victim of bullies, and his kinks becoming reality. He soon realizes he is in over his head and everything goes up in flames.

I didn't love this story, and I didn't hate it. It was fine. It has some realism, and some "oh really?" moments. I did like seeing Megan fight back, that was a nice touch, even if it didn't end up so well for her.

I quite enjoyed the main character's discovery that he could not revere in his fetish as fantasized because the reality of holding 2 people prisoner never occurred to him. Being a person whom enjoys the macabre and erotic scenarios, even some of which are...unconventional, I am slightly disappointed he did not do more sexual things to the girls. His realization of enjoying a "normal" sexual encounter coming too late was also a lovely twist. I found the ending a great way to go out after the whole scenario. I love reading a book that doesn't end well for anyone.

Story: 1/5
Writing Style: 1/5
Overall: 1/5

I honestly never gave any book 1 star before. But here we are...

This was a boring book. I am going to be blunt and honest here, this felt more like a first draft rather than a finished book. It really had potential. When I read the synopsis, I was really intrigued by the story. And I felt it was gonna be a good one.
But it is nothing like that. The writing is...not good. I don't usually pick on writing style but this needed a proper editor. Because there were mistakes, a lot of it, everywhere. And after a while it does starts to get annoying. Especially the multiple povs in a single chapter, very unnecessary.
It would had been much better if it was solely from Jimmy's perspective. A teenager who kidnapped two of his peers. I wanted to know what was going on inside his mind. Instead, we got lengthy details about him playing games -that adds nothing to the story - and this mix of povs because the author wanted us to know about everything.
Very disappointed. I never rate until I finish a book, and this 592 pages - Epub format- took me 3 months to finish. I just couldn't get through with it. It was so boring. I ended up skipping pages and paragraphs because I just wanted it to finish.

Wow... Maybe it just wasn't for me, please don't take my experience to heart, others may enjoy it more than I did.

I always feel bad giving a low review, but I feel that I have to explain myself when I do. There were a few plot holes in this book that left you wondering about a few things. I will say that as sick and depraved as the initial plot was, it had great potential, but not enough follow through. Maybe it just wasn't for me and others will enjoy it more, but I was severely irritated once I finished it when I didn't get all my closure. There were also some things that were just glossed over that could have been better explained.
