Not my favourite political Thomas Merton text but nonetheless it definitely had some beautiful gems of wisdom in there.
Must read if yr a Merton aficionado. For those who haven’t read any other politics-themed Merton though I wouldn’t start with this one. I’d start with “conjectures of a guilty bystander” or “seeds of destruction” before this one.
