Wow did I hate this šŸ™„ Iā€™ve read instruction manuals more entertaining than this.

Literally NOTHING happens, I mean nothing. Itā€™s just two super annoying characters having a ā€˜who is more of an outcast loserā€™ contest for 250+ pages. The writing is so pretentious and over the top Iā€™m surprised I actually made it all the way to the end.

At one point ā€œArtā€ literally has a puppet show fight between two coats as his final demonstration to try and prove a point he has been poorly trying to make for the last 200 pages. Do yourself a favor and donā€™t read this book.

A boring mind f*ck. Is that a thing? Well, if not it is now! You've got 2 unreliable narrators, the male one is a dull teen boy then a generic white guy with scoliosis (which by the way they don't usually do surgery on until you're done growing) with an alcohol and drug problem, who then blames himself for everything bad that happens.

I usually like books with odd formats but this one just didn't work. Mercy/Mary's commentary was the only part that kept me reading. But you still don't know what's real and what's not in the end.

This book was not what I expected it to be and it was not for me. I loved the format, super cool and different, and the few pages of horror did scare me a bit. However, there werenā€™t very many of them and the book as a whole was extremely different from what I thought it was going to be.
