there was a joke where the punchline was people thinking one of the characters was a pedophile and i had to immediately close the book. it’s been 2 days since i read that part and every time i think about picking the book back up i suddenly get nervous, so i’m DNFing it. maybe i’ll try to finish it later on, but just for now i really can’t because there was no trigger warning for that and i can only handle my triggers when they aren’t a surprise.

I agree with other reviewers that the ending was underwhelming (all the discussions the book opened were abruptly sealed), but up until the last 10 or so pages, I was extremely impressed by the complex character dynamics. I loved this.
