This was written really beautifully, with so much care and love and openness to everyone. I loved the ways she talks about food, culture, shame and classism, with compassion and nuance. Special highlights were the little anecdotes, the section on food/film, and the one-paragraph recipes! This was written nearly ten years ago, and it feels more important than ever.
