A comic about a lady assassin/housewife/mother that combines vintage fashion, 50s glamour, a fast pace, beautifully detailed art, and, oh yeah, lady assassins. This is my new jam.

I don't like vintage style comics but killer housewives I can dig. Set in the 50's and filled with petticoats, soirees and misogyny, Lady Killer is a fascinating and thrilling romp. Josie is trying to balance her household and her side gig - assassinating anyone who her boss tells her to. Until she becomes the target. I like Josie's no hold barred style and the graphics were pretty decent. Will be following up with Vol 2.

Fairly entertaining, gritty, and has pockets of dark humor. The art style isn't my personal favorite, yet it fits the story and themes very well! I think I would have like this better if not for the casual fatphobia and lack of character depth; I really just didn't care what happened to any of the characters except the various dogs. It felt like the author would just pop in a new face whenever they needed a body to fill the page and it made the story feel very distant.

I loved this one! The artwork, the story, the protagonist, rich rich rich! I've kinda always imagined lots of women having secret lives during the 50s or 60s. Just like the cover says, ''a picture-perfect homemaker but also a ruthless killer''. I think it's a great premise and will keep on reading :)

Sometimes a story feels like an excuse for the art, and apparently sometimes THAT'S TOTALLY OKAY. And this story actually (surprisingly) got kinda compelling toward the end, to where I'm watching for the recently announced second series.
And yes, all the Betty-Draper-meets-Dexter blurbs are pretty spot on.

This is probably closer to a 3.5 for me. It was entertaining, quick read and I liked the whole aesthetic of the time period and the art style. I will probably continue with the next one
