The third book of Fulton U series is the story of Berk and Jules. This story broke me. It was hard for me to read it because of Berk’s story. For the short version, Berk ended up in the system when he was little and that left some scars deep down on him. So that was the thing that made me really sad during this book. Even though he tried to stop thinking of him as a foster kid, deep down he’ll always be a kid without parents. As for Jules, she has her battles, her insecurities that won’t let her enjoy her life. She’s a great person, she believes in Berk and I love how she sees him for who he really is. Somehow I didn’t like how Alexa was always in the picture, and how Berk left her interfere between him and Jules. But, I understand what her role was, and I liked that in the end she managed to admit how wrong she was.
Overall I liked this story, Jules even made me want to bake some cookies myself. I liked how Berk was smitten about Jules from the begging. He fought for her before he knew she was the letter girl. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars. I don’t want to explain it why, I just give ‘em and that’s that.

100% yes, this was exactly what I was looking for right now.
A sweet as hell heroine who loves to bakes for people, friends to lovers, a hero who is sweet and caring, but still growly enough if he feels people are too flirty with his girl.
I really disliked the antagonist in the story I knew Alexis was going to cause trouble and I assumed it was because she was in love with Berk, but she said she wasn't so it really was just selfishness in wanting to keep her foster brother close and not let anyone "steal" him away. I kind of didn't really believe her turn around at the end was genuine, but that she only really wanted to change so that she didnt lose Berk in her life for good but I understand wanting to tie everything up in a bow at the end of the story.
Jules sister and mother where awful, her sister sort of started coming around towards the end , but I'm glad that wasn't really an issue that was resolved in the book. That felt more real.
I absolutely love friends to lovers, and this really was such a sweet story with a lot of heart and emotions rolled in.
Fantastic read.

i liked this for like the first 25% but i feel like most of the developement in their relationship happened off page before the book even started. ignoring the fact that writing letters describing sexual fantasies you have about a stranger is creepy (which is hard to ignore but we persevere), i think maybe this could've been better if it started when she wrote the first letter without having a time jump to months later when she stopped writing them entirely.

“He was buying me tampons!” THIS BOOK IS ENTERTAINING.

I am starting to think that I might have a problem with the second books in companion series. This happened also when I was reading Off-Campus series, I didn’t like The Mistake BUT I LOVED THE THIRD BOOK, The Score.

With the FU series, I haven’t gotten around to finishing the second book; reading The Third Best Thing pulled me out of my (sprouting) reading slump.

I can’t wait for the next installment! And for anything this author writes.

It's so bad I wanna give you a zero... but that's not possible, so I give you, a one ⭐

Honestly. This was so bad besties. I felt like it was written by a 13 year old. The smut was bad, like, really bad. The fighting and breaking up, getting back together,.. there was no character development AT ALL.

Don't spend your time reading it, it's not worth it ✌

The Third Best Timing : Story of Jules and Berk

This is the 3rd book in this series, and even though you can read it as a stand-alone I highly recommend reading the whole series.

The story of Jules bad Berk had me laughing and crying so much! Such a beautiful book!
