I went back and forth between the audiobook and the physical book for this one. The first story started out a little slow and I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the others but I really enjoyed them!
I loved how they were all kind of connected and I liked trying to guess which briefly mentioned character we'd follow from one story to the next.
My favorites were right in the middle - "Lab Coats", "Sewing for the Heart", and "Welcome to the Museum of Torture". So dark. So good. Though I will say that "Sewing for the Heart" had me SO ON EDGE while driving home that I had to take steadying breaths. All the descriptions of the heart really got to me lol

This one is very interesting. This book contains eleven nameless narrators telling us their individual creepy and sinister stories in this interesting form of a collection. I was made aware that every story here is connected to another, but actually reading them and discovering how are they connected was an enjoyable experience. It's like the joy of finding an easter egg in a movie. Beautifully executed and also translated.
My favorite: Sewing for the Heart- the pain of being rejected in this story. I felt it.

i tak, czytając książki nie powinno się wyłączać myślenia, ale też nie przesadzajmy - czytanie nie jest po to by robić rozbudowane annotations, podkreślać, zakreślać, nakreślać i tak dalej słówka frazy postacie

Despite the collection of short stories being named “Revenge”, the way the word is portrayed in the different characters short stories differs greatly from the original meaning of the world.
This body of work is clearly not meant for everybody, the themes of death, loss, obsession, betrayal etc. are portrayed in a way that might come across as shocking to others.
In the manner that some situations just take a turn for the worse after following & picking apart the brain of the main character of the specific story.
Giving you the feeling that you truly didn’t know what was going on inside the mind of certain characters even though you’ve been following their actions as well as slowly understanding their mindset.
Also the way the author seamlessly intertwines the stories with each other in a subtle way, whether it be a character from a previous story returning as a older character in a new story.
The fruits mentioned in the story seem to have a hidden meaning which I haven’t been able to figure out, in certain stories it is much easier to find the symbolism linked to the aforementioned fruit but in other stories it’s a bit more complicated. (P.S, RIP my guy The Hamster 😪)
