The foreshadowing is so subtle. While I’m rereading this, I’m slowly catching up on all the tiny little details that the author inputs.

I think stories like these are always so well crafted. The author knew where he was going or at least a very good idea of it.

The “crime” genre is really highlighted by the lineart. The lineart really is gorgeous. It does semi-realism quite well, especially so in ink. The crime aspect of this also was in the shading and particular toning used. It’s not for everyone, but it suits the story.

After seeing the first live action movie, I’m surprised at how well they did! They got an actor that looks close to Light, enough so that I’m struck at how similar they look. All the other actors also looked very similar to how Obata drew them.

Not for everyone.

Really love this manga. It’s really twisted for me and heart-jerking at most. Slow- burn that I just can’t help but to be very excited with what’s going to happen next.

Also the characters. Yagami Light surely is a genius character. Well written antagonist and a to-be-insane character in his own story.

Really love this manga ❤️

Light is such a fun and interesting character. I feel as though he is doing the right thing with the death note because I would probably do the same.
