Anne Rice is a beautiful writer, at times I felt the plot dragging but her prose and musings on life, death, god, and the devil kept me locked in till the end

Dear God, Louis must be the world’s most boring vampire. I mean, at least Edward has mind-reading and doesn’t treat us to his long-winded musings about damnation, the vampire condition, or the aesthetics of killing humans. Also, his obsession with Claudia is frankly giving pedo and it’s gross and I don’t want to read more about it. I’m just so bored and I can feel this book pushing me into a reading slump.
