The epilogue was very intriguing and I hope that the set up doesn't fail in it's delivery. Like the other books I don't like the pacing of a slow 75% and then a fast rest of the book, but I'm enjoying the characters and it's an easy audiobook to get through
Moderate: Classism, Injury/Injury detail, Blood, Gun violence, Murder, Violence, Death, Kidnapping, and Torture

Another delightful confection in the Invisible Library series, this one takes place in several worlds. The primary one is a Caribbean island with a gloating evil mastermind and various henchmen. It’s a James Bond-type story, and the Fae love being the stars in their stories. There’s even a shark tank where undesirables meet their watery - and bloody - doom.
There have been so many in the series - this is number six - that they’re predictable. The formula has our heroes called to fight bad guys and, against terrible odds, they return home triumphant. What makes this series unique is the magical diversity of characters - they’re Librarians, dragons, or Fae - and the various worlds they travel. There are both scary and funny plot devices - mechanical alligators and levitating corgis have appeared in past books - that help move the books along at a rapid pace. The main characters are lovable and I’m invested in their stories.
This book wasn’t quite as innovative as some of the others but that’s sort of like comparing different flavors of ice cream - they’re all wonderful, but you may prefer some to others. The series is lively and entertaining and charming.
