When you tell a lie, you steal a man's right to the truth.

The kite runner does not only offers a glimpse into the once magnificent country of Afghanistan, but also teaches us priceless life lessons, such as redemption, loyalty, the impact of guilt, social inequality, and the effects of war.

Hassan will always have a place in my heart with his unwavering loyalty. His promise "For you a thousand times over!" will stay with me.

This novel is just so heart touching and remarkable! I don't have the exact words to explain what I feel about this book!
Those six words are still ringing in my ears, "For you a thousand times over!"

"It may seem unfair, but what happens in a few days, sometimes even a single day, can change the course of a whole lifetime"

The writing is brilliant. This story is beautiful and gut wrenching. Brought to tears several times. Highly recommend.
