Hm, this book was slow, but it was really interesting. The story was slow going, and I had a hard time believing the last few chapters, but everything else felt pretty realistic. I was having a hard time coming up with a rating, and thought I wanted to give it higher, but the last few chapters spoiled it for me. I was invested in the story and wanted a different ending.

I was pretty bored, the arch of emotionally unavailable dude and the whole I need to have a baby to fulfill me as a human was lost on me. Also, the idea of heat cutting down a global wonder for money was rough to read after just getting back from the Redwoods.

This is a book about doing the right thing. It was a good book that hurt to read. 
Four stars out of five because too many characters made it hard to follow.
