This book will blow your socks off! Brand new world, full of twists and turns and plenty of sexy times. The characters are amazing and Jameson and Ransom are so made for each other but each isn't complete without Beretta and Arsen. Each of them have such a unique dynamic that one couldn't work without the others. I was gripped from the get go and halfway through i was like "oh hell no" when the pieces started to fall into place. A brilliant book that I can highly recommend.

❝ We tell you to close your eyes...” his body falls flush with mine, his hazel eyes testing me with a tantalizing gleam. “Because everything is amped in the dark. Your want, your need, your... willingness. In the dark, you can be whoever you want to be. No fear. No judgment.❞

ahhhh let me start off by saying [b:Boys of Brayshaw High|39778773|Boys of Brayshaw High (Brayshaw, #1)|Meagan Brandy|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1544213703l/39778773._SY75_.jpg|61481625], series is still to THIS day one of my fav’s.

this book however???

i was so confused for about 60% of the book. i was also bored, kind of skim reading because jameson we get it hunny you're a rich girl who hates everyone in her social class, but like can we also talk about other stuff?

the plot followed jameson, a rich girl who is being forced-ish to marry another rich guy to strengthen the family name or some other rich people shit. she's given up on love and a life for herself, covering her real persona under an ice queen mask.

but somehow these three random boys (ransom, arsen, and beretta- which is a rather unfortunate name) see through her and lure her into their chaos and games where they gatecrash parties and cause a blackout. the first 60% just consisted of random party scenes, some sexy times, and jameson lamenting about her curse as a rich white girl <3

✨quick spoiler alert✨ - towards the end her literal best friend dies (to that i say what was the reason apart from shock factor??? #justiceforjules), she doesn't seem too upset because oh that's right next chapter/scene/whatever she's fucking her man....

it took me so long to even understand the plot or the point of the book, i liked the whole "blackout boys" concept, i wish there was more of that but idk i found the book very dry and lacking in anything until about the last 40% kicked in, which is when everything started to come together and make sense but unfortunately it wasn't enough for me to rate the book any higher. it sucks because we didn't get ransom's pov which would've been so interesting especially with everything he was dealing with but i get why he didn't get any chapters.

tbh by the end i was more interested in jules, dax, and amy (the secondary characters), their story seemed crazier. but one thing i will say is that i hated how jameson treated amy at the end trying to sympathise and understand her. amy was the fucking worst you have to be mentally ill to disguise yourself as your twin sister and trick her bf into having sex with you??? and jameson just started hugging her, i'd spit on amy if i could.

anyways did i enjoy it? kinda. the writing was great, dialogue was okay but the plot was slow but not like slow burn slow.
will i read it again? nah.

✨another spoiler alert✨ - technically this is not a reverse harem, even if there is *cough*group play*cough*

Badly Behaved is another outstanding book from Meagan Brandy. It's another book where I dove in blindly and found something I didn't know I needed. You have no idea what to expect and the author will drop a bomb that'll catch your breath.

This story is a tale full of heart feelings, inner battles, bravery, suspense, some serious heat and it's driven by seemingly endless twists you never see coming.

I don't tell you something new when I say, that Meagan Brandy is crazily talented. She publishes page turner after page turner and this one is no exception. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly NOT a reverse harem but it’s hard to explain lol. Definitely strange but SO SO GOOD. And the twist at the end??? FUCK.

It could have just been titled Badly, as in badly conceived, badly developed, badly written, etc.

Badly Behaved

It was a slow start to the book, at one point I thought I would give it up but I am so glad I stayed with it. Jameson and Ransom are end game! Arsen and Barretta are couple goals! At first I thought this was a Reverse Harem book but it really isn’t. There’s a couple group play scenes but It’s mostly couples. Jameson is a badass once she lets the boys in.

“Love isn’t the sole driving force behind our pain. It can add to it, yes, but our pain comes from within. Sometimes it’s placed there from experience and other times, some of us have a dark place within us that, no matter what we do, who we have, and how we live, the light never quite reaches it. Nobody can claim to understand the way one feels, because the reality is, we all feel differently. We can live through the same exact moments, even side by side, but we don’t experience them the same.”

I cannot say enough good things about this book. Honestly, words cannot even do it justice. I went into this completely blind and man was I OBSESSED with what I discovered. This book follows Ransom and Jameson's love story and it is one you will not see coming. Ransom is dark & mysterious with a damaged past. He is known around town as a troubled guy along with his two best friends Arsen and Beretta. Every girl wants to sleep with them and every guy wants to remind them that they don't belong amongst the rich kids. The moment Jameson lays eyes on them, she sees them as something completely different from everyone else. The "blackout boys" become drawn to her and man oh man does it get STEAMY from there. This story is full of sexual tension, family drama, heartbreak, angst & learning to live life for yourself. Meagan seriously went above and beyond for these characters and I am here for it! I felt a connection with each one and I grew to love them for different reasons. The friendship and connection that Jameson makes with each of these guys are breathtaking and beautiful in their own way (No this is not an RH). The SPICE in this is off the wall amazing - we get the romantic love that comes completely unexpected, but we also get the raw hunger that Jameson & Ransome have for each other.

Major Brayshaw vibes & I was so grateful for that. I really can't stress this enough - YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!
