An outrageous, laugh-out-loud journey where Scotty’s delusional antics and Brody’s unhinged overprotectiveness collide in chaotic perfection. If you’re ready for a wild ride packed with love and madness, this book delivers!
If you’re looking for a book that makes you leave your brain at the door and dive headfirst into a rollercoaster of chaos, F**k, Marry, Kill Me Daddy is the ride for you. The kind of moments that would normally have me cringing had me laughing so hard, I was crying. This book is miles away from reality, and that’s exactly why I loved it.

Honestly, I barely made any notes while reading because I was too caught up in the madness, laughing at every turn. Scotty is the very definition of delulu, in the best possible way. This man has zero f*cks to give and no interest in following orders, not even from his contract killer boyfriend, who, by the way, isn’t technically his boyfriend at the start... but I wouldn’t tell Scotty that.

Scotty’s chaotic energy is balanced by his vulnerability, and every time he doubted himself, my heart broke a little: “I loosen my tie because it feels like it’s choking me. Uri isn’t coming. He isn’t coming, because I’m not good enough. I’m starting to think I never will be. Not for him, and not for anyone.”

And then there’s Brody. His bi-awakening was absurd, and his internalised homophobia was INTENSE. But nothing beats the way Brody threatens inanimate objects for daring to harm his boy. The man’s seriously unhinged - and that makes him the perfect match for Scotty. Together, they’re a beautifully deranged disaster.

Ok. This is unhinged and I loved it. It was really fun. It's not serious. And all the parts that could be emotionally problematic were largely sidestepped, making this a surprisingly low angst read for how insane the plot and themes are. This ended up being a fluffy found family romance with characters who get off to violence. I also like the fact that threats of murder were a way one of the characters dealt with internalized homophobia.

This book was absolutely unhinged. Like, if you've ever read cracky fanfic, that's the vibe.

Brody is a hitman, and he's been hired to take out Scotty. Brody is not usually bad at his job, but he just can't seem to seal the deal with Scotty.

Scotty is a lonely man, and very very crazy. He notices Brody stalking him and just assumes that Brody is into him.

Thus begins their "murder daddy" game. Brody can't deny he is into Scotty, and Scotty is unabashedly obsessed with his new Daddy.

There are hilarious threats of murder, battling internalized homophobia, gratuitous violence, being on the run, and lots of off the wall sex and dirty talk.

I honestly wanted to stop reading because it was so weird, but I had to keep going. I wanted to see how it was going to end.

This book was extremely entertaining. If you're gonna read it, go into expecting weird and alternate reality vibes.

In the end, Scotty got his murder daddy, and I was absolutely here for it.

Don't worry, you can't judge me harder than I'm judging myself.

This book was absolutely bonkers, but in a good way? I don't know, but I liked it. It was so unhinged and over the top, so, like the author warns, you must suspend disbelief while reading this book. Scotty is absolutely delulu and unhinged, but in a sweet way? Honestly, I don't know how the author managed to make me love this like I did. Most signs point to no, but I just did. It's just crazy and fun and absolutely ridiculous. Just shut off your brain and enjoy the ride. A very wild, delusional, and spicy ride, that is. If you want an super silly dark rom-com (heavy on the rom-com), then check this out. I was cackling most of the time and wondering, "wtf am I reading?" while simultaneously falling in love with this book and its wacky cast of characters. If you are looking for something to laugh through and mindlessly enjoy, then this is perfect.

This book is something else, I just say WOW!

It is as unhinged as the blurb makes it out to be, if not even more. But it is the good unhinged, the adorable unhinged. I mean maybe you shouldn’t call this book adorable but it is in its murder romance glory. It also has so many laugh out loud moments and I feel like I could live in this world with how my brain works. I don’t know what that says about me

Scotty is such a darling boy but with tendencies to step into the dark side. Brody is just broody and in a lot of denial of who he really is and who he really is attracted to. You would think Brody, the actual hitman, is the toughest of them all but him meeting Scotty also means he has met his match in all things weird and quirky. The Insta love (Scotty) and Insta lust (Brody) they feel should make you back away slowly and question the life choices being made.

But they just work together, okay!

This book is so funny and the side characters are gems. The story may seem a bit out there and far-fetched, but it is anchored in real feelings and real problems that some of us will meet and go through in life.

I knew stepping into this world and this book that there are certain things that can and have triggered people. So if you haven't read this book yet, do me and the author a favor and read the content warning and Lance’s word of caution in the beginning of the book. Because this book and this world is not for everyone and that is okay.

On my blog I will write more about the book and certain aspects of it. Mind you that post will contain spoilers and should be read with discretion. It will be up later tonight or tomorrow!
