I loved this. I was looking forward to Nick's book and had I feeling I would love it and I was not disappointed. Nick is such an amazing character. He is complex and has many layers. Something you may not expect when we first meet him. Yes, he's a goofy spitfire of a human, but there's a lot under the surface, and I am so happy to have been able to join him on his journey. The relationship between Nick and Evan is interesting to watch. What I enjoyed the most was the COMMUNICATION. Even though they are fake dating, they allow themselves to open up to each other and be vulnerable. And the overarching drama with the stalker was entertaining, a touch angsty, but not all that much of a surprise. Nevertheless, I think this is my favorite book in this series.

Some of it is really good but it’s hard to fight past some of the dialogue. The MMC talks like how millennials think Gen Z sounds. Some of the conversations are so cringe it takes away from the story? Enough so that you get taken out of the book. They also fell way too hard too fast. Like there was basically no lead-up.
No tension. Just zero to fudging in a couple chapters. Felt like it was missing something. The first book in the Crimson series was way better. This felt rushed.

Eeeek it's gay Pretty Woman but without all the gender stereotypes!!!! Evan is a billionaire who needs a fake boyfriend to secure his inheritance. When he meets stripper Nick at his sister's bachelorette party, he knows he's found the right man for the job. Nick is gorgeous and livens up Evan's orderly life, by injecting warmth and silliness and sexy crop tops. But will their relationship withstand mysterious threats and a planned end-date?

Also- it must be mentioned- that there is a super hot boinking-your-boyfriend-while-you're-on-the-phone-conducting-business scene that cannot be missed!!!

I've really been loving the Crimson Club series by Willow Dixon. Each book follows a new couple but they are all connected because one of the MCs works as a stripper at Crimson Club. One of the things I love most is when the boys get together- their interactions are hilarious and give off major found-family vibes. The other bonus is that we get introduced to the next couple in the series and I cannot wait to learn more about Zane and the mysterious coworker that has been riling up our usually implacable guy.

Rating: 4.75
Angst: 1.5/5
Steam: 4/5

I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
