I’ve loved Castle and his dedication to his people ever since we first met him, I did find his personality off though in this book. I don’t know if it’s just me but throughout the previous books in the series, it felt like Castle was a golden retriever in a large bulky body but in this book and to match the rest of the series’ books and tone his entire personality felt like it was revised and we got a broody Castle. It felt off. But if I ignore that I still enjoyed the book a lot from a pure reading perspective. It could be because I’m a sucker for such mafia books as the writing, pacing, and actual plot leave a lot to be desired but I always still come back for more in Jagger Cole’s books because of the damn characters they’re like drugs. I love them. And I don’t mind the chaotic plots to be fair. I did hate one other thing about the book. THE HEROINE. CALLIOPE. MADAM. Why is she such a doormat. She was thirsty. Like my girl I get it he’s amazing, he’s a god of a man and he’s literally flawless and he’s so endlessly manly but like c’mon drink some dignity juice. Queen was literally dying for this man to give her some attention and she had zero spine. Have some pride my dude. I love when the dudes are obsessed over their girls but also to a limit like don’t be an obsessed child and same thing when it’s the opposite. And I felt like in the end she loved Castle more than he actually loved her.

This is an arranged marriage mafia romance. It involves the Irish mafia (the Kildare family) and Castle is the second in command. He marries Callie to prevent her from facing a horrible fate. Sparks fly and the chemistry between the two of them becomes undeniable.
I liked the two of them as a couple. Sometimes I felt like Callie didn’t have great depth as a character but I didn’t dislike her entirely. Castles past was sad and I felt for him I will say he took a bit to warm up to Callie.
This is a standalone series but I would read the books in order for more context.

It’s dark, fast paced, loads of twists and turns - I loved the plot - and not to mention the steam. Smut scenes are definitely one thing that Jagger Cole knows how to do well

Well, this definitely doesn't come as a surprise that Jagger Cole writes amazing Dark and Mafia Romances, and of course Stolen Hearts is no exception! 🖤

Honestly, I was so looking forward to this book! I liked Castle since the very beginning of the series, and with little glimpses and small moments I've been getting of him, my interest in knowing his story has been growing more and more.
Furthermore, Callie's exceedingly tense situation involving an arranged marriage to a menacing and ruthless Italian Don, courtesy of her equally terrible father, was a story I had eagerly anticipated reading, knowing it would be a great one. Once again, Jagger Cole did not disappoint.
Castle's personality is a bit different from what I thought and imagined. Because he's a former Ranger who obviously had seen a lot and had lived through a lot, he wasn't able to let go of the ghosts from the past which still haunt him to this day. So when we truly meet him we encounter the serious, closed, harsh, distant version of Castle - which is basically everything he believes he is. In reality? The loving, a million percent protector, a true hero.
Callie also turned out to be very different from what I imagined. I loved her strong spirit and despite her knowing what kind of future awaited her, she never crumbled under pressure nor stopped being her true self.
I definitely won't be talking about what brought Castle and Callie together as it's worth you finding this out on your own, but let me tell you... the angst between these two is something unreal! 🔥
The tension is enormous and so palpable it's insane. Callie embraced her feelings for Castle with such passion and seduction that it was impossible to imagine anyone being able to resist her. To put this simply: this. book. is. freaking. hot!
The plots didn't stop coming and of course I sat on the edge until the very end.
I love this series so much I honestly want to read about each and every character and learn their story. There are a few particular ones I'm sooo excited about, so I can only hope their story will make their grand entrance in this addicting and beautiful Dark Hearts' world.
