This book was a quick read. I feel like the author skimmed the surface on all the key parts of a mystery novel. It ultimately felt like a YA mystery novel to me. The plot could have had more depth and darkness. While reading it, I was reminded of Nancy Drew. I loved the those books as a kid, don’t get me wrong! But as an adult, I expect more from a mystery novel.
