Thank you Poisoned Pen Press for the ARC!
Okay, look. Is this the best thriller to have ever been written? NO. But was it fun to read? YES!
This book did a great job leading you down several twists and turns, making you think you have an idea of who did it but not piecing it together until the end. I had an idea of what was happening, and where it would be heading, but everytime I got close, they added in a new mystery. However, you don't have the rug pulled out for you in the end, you piece it together about 50% of the way through the book.
Lost a star because men cannot write women, and this book is no exception.

I liked this book, was a fairly fast read for me. A private investigator gets the opportunity to truly get her business off the ground and financially stable when she's offered a big paying job. However, it turns quite dangerous. It does have a twist at the end too.

This was just ok. It started off slow, although it was intriguing but the ending also felt rushed. I also figured out one of the culprits almost immediately so it took some of the mystery out of it.

it was slow throughout then the last 25 pages is when the action happened. I liked that I didn’t expect Sonia but andrew was a given. Also did not care for the plot. i don’t think ive ever read that kind of material, where it was many young girls that were being hurt. the author when into too much detail for my liking for the plot twist. also it was predictable that when hazel was a second from dying she’d be saved. i did like the epilogue though but holy moly this book needed many trigger warnings
