This story conveyed a lot (and did it well) considering how short it is. It's funny (mostly sad) how a story about the tragedies of the past still apply to this day in certain parts of the world.

The narrator of the audio book edition I experienced this book in had a calm, level voice that at the same time portrayed the emotions of Ada and the people around her, which I quite liked. The historical information left by the guide was a fun tidbit that helped bring context to the story. The story itself was a quick listen but an impactful experience, showing the harsh world many people of the past lived in. (Many people in the present still live in it.) And the lengths they would have to face in order to make ends meet.

This short story was well put together by the team at Audrey. Even as a short listen the guide put together enough content to add to the overall experience.

Thank you Audrey for putting this together.
