Tales From the Storm is a unique collection of short horror stories that just might make you squirm. There are seven stories included in this collection, and I have to say, there were some really weird things going on in each one. I did have my favorites, though. Those include All Aboard, Damned, and Horishi Tom. I really wanted more from all three of those stories. I feel like if they were fleshed out with more detail, they'd be amazing horror novels. I did enjoy all seven of the stories, but there was something about those three that just connected with me.

With All Aboard, I just wanted to know more sordid details about each person. I'm a bit morbid, I suppose, and I think learning about the evils within the characters would have satisfied my sick sense of curiosity.

With Damned, I was reminded a little of The Crate from Creepshow. That "story" scared the crap out of me as a kid. Like, I had serious nightmares about that creature constantly. Even now, I'm panicking just typing about it. It still scares me to this day. And Damned had a similar vibe. Plus, it was set on the Titanic, which just made it even better. I'd love a horror novel about a creature set loose on the Titanic, and instead of sinking via iceberg, people are slaughtered because someone opened the crate.

And with Horishi Tom, well, that story was seriously messed up. A man losing his family is bad enough, but what happens after he arrives in the town of Angu(i)s(h) is even worse. Pure torture for this poor man. But, to be fair, he brought it on himself, and he had no one else to blame but himself. I really wanted more from that story, though. The details leading up to his family's death. How he discovers Horishi Tom. What happens after he realizes the magnitude of his mistake. I need it!

If you're a fan of short horror stories with interesting twists, definitely grab a copy of Tales From the Storm today!
