Oooh, this is a lovely, feels-classic collection of three bedtime stories told to Little Bear by Mother Bear. They'd make great readalouds -- one-on-one due to the small size. Most notable is the use of neon pink (I read two books with neon in one day, so now I have a Goodreads shelf for them!) and electric-bright colored pencil lines intermixed with gray and graphite to create fantastical settings. Don't miss the dedication and the final illustration of Mother Bear. Translated.

Three modern bedtime fairy tales framed by a little bear being put to bed. The illustrations are unique, especially with the use of pink. Other than that, matte, dark colors predominate. The tales are a bit weird, but so are most fairy tales. The last one was a little creepy to me.

It was a cute little nightly story but if I am being honest the graphics were a bit scary. The coloring is great it is just the rest of the illustration that had me a bit... spooked.
My favorite story was the first one with the night guardian.

A sweet, warm, unique little children's book of 3 sleepy tales. Very cool use of pink in the illustrations.

Inspired by a dream, this book features three bedtime stories set in a magical colored pencil forest. The Night Guardian peacefully rings her gong to let the woodland animals know it's time for bed, a little girl gets lost in a forest and spends the night with a friendly bat, and a sleepless man goes for a magical swim, retrieving a stone poem that gives him exactly what he needs. This beautiful book would make a great read-aloud for kids, but independent readers will love it all the same.
