to be honest not my fav. the art style just wasn't working for me (although I gotta appreciate the detail that went into the monsters). and I was kinda of disappointed when I saw Anubis, it just didn't capture his character at all, not to mention Sadie.

my brain also had a hard time processing who was talking, and honestly just the plotline in general (which makes no sense cause I've literally read the series).

nevertheless, yall should read it.

ps. i liked the battle scenes :)

did not enjoy the graphic novel as much of the book. felt it missed the depth of the book and also a lot of the humor and I did not feel that the illustrations added to my experience of the book.

This is what the graphic novel versions of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" should have been. Very minor details were removed but it didn't change the story. My only gripe is so much telling instead of showing for a graphic novel. For example, a text box said, "Inside the temple, two circles were drawn in the sand." WE CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT! Why did it have to tell us what we can see? There was so much of that. Otherwise, I still don't like this story that much.

It had some of the stuff from the book missing or edited but it is indeed logical that a graphic novel doesn't have the capacity for all the details, so it's okay! Overall I liked the art and the characters were very similar to the images I got in my head while reading the novel!

This was much better than the Percy Jackson graphic novels! The two narratives from Carter and Sadie worked really well to guide the story and there was a lot of beautiful artwork!!
