Game x Rush Volume 1 throws us into a world where Japan's top bodyguard, Memori, and its deadliest assassin, Yuuki, find themselves locked in an unexpected dance. Memori, known for his good looks and charm, excels at protecting his clients. Yuuki, shrouded in mystery, eliminates targets with cold efficiency.

The story takes a surprising turn when Yuuki, instead of eliminating Memori, proposes a challenge. He wants to test their skills against each other.  Memori, ever the protector, finds himself entangled in a dangerous game with an enigmatic assassin.

While the artwork is as always stunning, the initial plot stumbles a bit. The villain-hero dynamic feels underdeveloped, and some comedic elements fall flat. However, the potential for a thrilling game of cat-and-mouse is undeniable.

Memori and Yuuki are a compelling duo. Memori's unwavering dedication to his duty clashes with Yuuki's ruthless efficiency, creating an intriguing dynamic. The potential for character development, especially for Yuuki, is present.

Overall, Game x Rush Volume 1 is a promising start.  The artwork and intriguing premise lay the groundwork for a captivating series.  If you enjoy action-packed stories with a unique bodyguard-assassin twist, this manga is worth checking out, but keep your expectations in check for the first volume.

So far, I think it's a pretty simple story, with nice interesting (not that much, though) characters.
The building of their relationship felt kinda odd sometimes, but for two volumes, it works just fine.
