putting all the insane answers we got aside for a bit, can we please take a moment to appreciate the true slowburn (man, 8 books) that was kairene? I'll never be over the fact they went from "you're not my type" to "it's not your body. it's your soul. your heart."

This series has come to an end. Sort of. There could be new beginnings but this chapter of Irene and the library has come to an end. And what a ride this has been for the last 8 books.
Irene, librarian, thief, mentor, spy, peace broker and savior. She has hunted for books and has been hunted by friends and enemies alike and finally along with her trusted aides, she has clocked out. For the very first time, the whole origin story of not only her and the library but also the fae and the dragons have come out in the open.
Shocking revelations, heartbreaks and the bonds of loyalty, friendship and family get severely tested when truth hidden behind books best left untouched are finally opened.
Goodbye Irene Winters. You've been the best Librarian ever.
And goodbye Bradamant for more reasons than one.
