this was the best volume until now. i love the play storyline. koyomi wanting to become a novelist is so real. i liked dojima, too. sayaka is still my favorite. the side characters are so much better than nanami and yuu.

Okay, wow. Just, wow. This volume is by far the best in the series so far. The contrast between the playful aquarium date in the beginning and the heavy tension from the script change towards the end made this easily the most emotional volume so far. I loved that Yuu has become more interested in helping Touko with her issues and Yuu's development as a whole is wonderful. Going from a stoic, quiet, almost apathetic character to a more caring and assertive character is amazing and it truly shines in this volume. I'm glad that the pacing for the series has been consistent this whole time, allowing the characters to grow more slowly but realistically. I adore all the parallels between the play and Yuu/Touko's situation and I CANNOT WAIT for the sixth volume to see the play actually performed. I truly love this series and am so glad that I gave it second chance. I could go on, but honestly there's so much I could say but we'd be here forever. If you're still reading my reviews and haven't read this series, READ IT. It is really worth it and is a fast, compulsive read.
