Absolutely loved this and it's going to stick with me for a while. I highly recommend that you listen to the audiobook version because the narrator doing the different voices I think created 85% of the creepy factor. The story itself was probably pretty creepy on its own, but the VOICES! 😳😳😳 If you had told me prior to this year that I would enjoy and recommend an audiobook over reading I'd have said you were delusional, but here we are! Narration is 4.5*

I really really enjoyed this book!! So unsettling and spooky from the beginning but not TOO much that it feels like there’s nothing left to discover or anticipate. You can definitely feel the passion and love the author put into this work.
The only thing is that I feel like it was a tad too long and Part 4 could have been significantly shorter (it felt like it dragged jusy a bit in some areas of this part). However, this wasn’t bad enough for me to dock the rating.

So while not perfect,  my enjoyment of this book is really what drove me to give it 5 stars. Anything less would feel disingenuous.

This really grabbed me for the first 60% or so of the book, but the ending was lacklustre. It had the potential, but it died off closer to the end.

I suppose that if you speak long enough into the void, someone is bound to start listening.

a truly creepy, unsettling, eerie horror but the characters were bland, the writing shallow, and uh, the native american representation was kind of shitty? especially when you take into consideration the author's note
