Loved the story, hated the increasing SJW diatribe shoved down my throat.

Kind of sad that I used a gift card to buy it - should have gotten it used.
I really liked the original trilogy & finally got around to reading this sidequel. In book 1, Governor Frances Blackburn is the Democratic candidate for president. In book 4 (this), she's the runningmate for candidate Governor Susan Kilburn.
This book also seems to have been created from a list of tropes that had to be crammed into the first 1-2 chapters. It doesn't matter which, just that the characters felt forced & gimmicky.
I did appreciate a different angle on some characters, like Wagman, and meeting a couple of old friends again.

I didn't know there was a 4th book in this series and found this by accident... what a happy little accident this was the best book in the Tetralogy!! Diverse, and has the finger on the pulse of current events... loved this book.
I have to start by saying that I really, really liked both Ash and Mat, but I wish they didn't sort of exist as a checklist of diversity? I mean, they were both amazing characters except for after a point it seemed like they hit this wall where they weren't characters, they existed solely to fulfill a role. Which was sad, because they were wonderful as characters. Also, it's incredibly jarring to read first-person-POV of an Irish person from someone who isn't really familiar with Irish accents that aren't movie-cookie-cutter. :/
I don't know, I couldn't super get into this. It seemed to take away a lot of the potency of Feed, but also was way longer than it needed to be because it kept dissolving into navel-gazing politicalism? EVERYTHING had to be explained in excruciating detail. Ack. Plus, what was with that Clive end plot? Super tacked-on just to kill some time or something, I guess.

I enjoyed this, although the characters didn't grab me quite as much as the Masons in the original trilogy.
