I struggled a lot through this book. I found it hard to connect the stories of the different characters, even toward the end. But, WHAT THE F WAS THAT ENDING

I didn't care for all the heavy-handed euthanasia stuff and the whole Rachel thing was just ludicrous.

I just couldn't finish this one. Even though the side stories were interesting and quite touching, and the subjectmatter (dementia and losing people close to you while they are still alive) hit home hard, the main character and the plot of the story was just so, so annoying. I'd be happy just reading the sidestories, tbh.

This was another solid entry in this series, until the very end. I did not like the end of the book and it didn’t feel consistent with the character. Other then the choice at the end, I enjoyed it. I love coming back to these characters.

This is the first in this series that I’ve read and it was fine. I never felt like I really got to know any of the characters and I guessed whodunnit.

Profoundly disappointing entry in a series I usually really admire. It all seemed incredibly contrived. The euthanasia/dementia subplot was heavyhanded. The ending was abrupt and unsatisfying.

I'd give this 3 1/2 if I could. I liked it as I liked all of them, but was left with a feeling of stories unfinished. The murder was wrapped up but some side stories left hanging, perhaps to be dealt with in the next book? Anyway, I'm a fan and will keep reading.
