This was an unusual story in that for much of it Ellie was too young for Logan or off-limits. Although they fell in love, it was from a distance. Once they decided to get together and be open about it, their relationship had consequences.

The end of the book and the Epilogue was funny and wrapped up the series very nicely. I highly recommend the series, and especially ROYALLY SCREWED.

3.5 stars!

Swoon! That's what this book will make you do. I am still swooning and smiling after reading this story. Ellie and Logan are perfect. Frustrating and perfect. I absolutely love them together! This series just gets better and better for me. This is definitely my favorite so far and I really enjoyed the fact that the male lead was not royal in this story. I think it is was a great change and I loved being able to see the two characters overcoming these obstacles and finally admitting there was something between them. I could continue to read this series and never get tired. I can't wait to read more from Emma and this series.

How did the bodyguard get a better story than the royals? Even his name was hot, I loved the slow burn, forbidden love that was cooking between the two, and how even though it took place over the years the story was fast paced. I think that their relationship was able to work because it took place over time and they got to really know and care for each other. This book had no business making me feel all the emotions I did, it left me feeling warm, happy, and honestly lost for words. I fell in love with Logan not only because he was hot, strong, and protective but because he showed how much he cared for Ellie and stopped at nothing to protect her. Don't get me started on the smut, Logan St. James is an animal and I love it. The man had me weak in the knees, Nicolas and Henry can't compete with him. Omg and the epilogue...that was an epilogue, everything was tied up so beautifully and he got to see Logan and Ellie have a family, it was just perfect. Chef's kiss

My only complaint is that there were a bit too many cultural references for my taste and a lot of minor details.
fast-paced

LOVED that
