I absolutely adored reading both [b:Royally Screwed|29991719|Royally Screwed (Royally, #1)|Emma Chase|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1463068765s/29991719.jpg|50395229] and [b:Royally Matched|29991718|Royally Matched (Royally, #2)|Emma Chase|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1473345329s/29991718.jpg|50395228] (click the links to see my reviews). When I saw that there was going to be a third book, my first thought was “who could this be about?” After reading the synopsis I was immediately hooked. Who doesn't love a little forbidden romance? The sister to Princess Olivia can’t be with a mere bodyguard or so thinks Queen Lenora.

“Logan winks. And, right there in that dim little coffee shop, he steals a piece of my heart forever.”

Pushed into the royal family by marriage Ellie’s life completely changes. The Prince himself has sent Logan as security detail for his wife’s younger sister. Ellie has had a crush on Logan since she was in high school and he was assigned to watch over her. They've both felt the attraction from the moment their lives were pushed together. But Logan knows that falling for her will completely change the course of his life. A life he’s worked so hard for. He can’t let his feelings get in the way of his job.

"I meant it when I said I would die for her . . . and right now, I feel like I am."

Over the years, Logan and Ellie’s paths continue to cross. Ellie has never been able to let go of that schoolgirl crush. She’s gone through boyfriend after boyfriend but no one compares to the fantasy of Logan St. James. Logan has always made her feel special, something she isn’t used to feeling. Logan enlisted in the military to escape the terrible life he came from. He can’t let one girl take that away from him. He’s watched Ellie grow into a beautiful young woman and when danger at the palace threatens everyone’s lives, whom will he choose to protect?

"Life changes us, with its twists and turns, in ways we don't always see coming. It changes what we want, what we dream, lays blessings in our hands better than anything we could've imagined."

Guys, this book was so much more than I ever imagined. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I cringed, and most of all I feel in love with this story. Because of their circumstances this is a slow burn romance. But trust me, it’s worth the wait. For anyone who has read the other two books, you will be happy to hear that we get quite a few guest appearances! I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.

"Somebody once told me a slow-burning fire is the hottest – and it must be true. Because Logan and I are a f------ inferno"

I have been trying to find a copy of this book for a while now, and finally succumbed and listened to the book. I am generally not a fan of audio books, but I enjoyed this one. I liked the accent on Logan, voiced by Shane East. I felt the voice of Ellie was a little older than Ellie, but I liked her.

So we met Ellie and Logan in book 1. Ellie is Olivia’s sister and Logan is Nicolas’s bodyguard. Logan stays behind and keeps an eye on Ellie when Olivia goes to Wessco for the summer after she starts dating, and even though she’s only 17 and a senior in high school, she knows that Logan is the guy for her.

Over the course of the next five years, we watch (listen) to Ellie and Logan grow and change. Ellie graduates from high school and moves to Wessco to be closer to Olivia. Logan, of course, goes back as well. He knows how Ellie feels about him, but he fights his feelings for a long time.

This is a SLOW burn romance. 5 years slow. But I enjoyed Logan and Ellie’s story. Logan grew up poor, on the wrong side of the tracks. Ellie’s mom died, sending her father into alcoholism, leading her to believe she’s the reason.

Ellie is such a sweet character. She’s smart and optimistic. Logan is tough, yet vulnerable when it comes to Ellie. I enjoyed seeing their relationship bloom.

Book 4 comes out soon and I’m getting an ARC so I didn’t want to be behind. I would recommend this, any way you can get it.

Delicious romantic perfection. Logan and Ellie are lovely. We have moved from royalty to bodyguards with this series (based on the epilogue I believe the cheeky Tommy is our next hero.) I just read an "erotic" "romance" which was absolutely neither, and I needed to cleanse. The water has washed over me and my faith in erotic romance is restored. Hallelujah!

* There is sex in this, and it is well written and very hot, but its definitely a romance and not erotica.

* I did the audio and the reader for Logan (whom I believe also read book one in the Nicholas role) has the best voice ever. The man could look like a mashup of Steven Tyler, Gary Bussey and Dick Cheney and with that voice I would still be on board. Sigh.

This is the third book in the Royally series, and focuses on Olivia's little sister, Ellie. I gobbled up the first two books but this one was a little more challenging to get through. Mainly because Logan's creepy lust after Ellie when she was seventeen. And granted he doesn't act on it but still having him describe her having a "perky arse" when she's litterally a child just grossed me out. Once we time skip until she's 22 (and feeling it!) and therefore legal, the pining isn't quite as creepy, but the fact that they both are admit to having feelings for one another since she was a minor just soured the book for me.

Ellie was incredibly sweet and honest, and Logan does much her in being her opposite in temperament. This is the typical bad-boy meets girl-next-door, expect he never actually seemed like a bad boy but rather a guy who escaped from a vicious cycle of being in a bad part of town. I don't know this one just didn't spark like the other novels did, but in the end I did truly enjoy it and would recommend it.

Loved this one! And loving this series.

I was so excited to get Logan and Ellie's story and it did not disappoint! I loved the forbidden element and the slow burn. And the chemistry was off the charts!

Another thing I loved about this book was that Henry and Nicholas and their ladies were in this book too. I loved the updates to their stories and the epilogue was fantastic!

I am very interested to see who the next book in the series is about...I have a few months to wait, yet. I am guessing Tommy or one of the kids??? What I do know is that if Emma Chase writes it, I will read it. Can't wait!

Delicious. Body guard romances are a trope I love. And wow Logan-.
That's mostly because of the voice actor of the audiobook though.
Also the angst was gratuitous and I LOVED it. The smut, sadly, was meh. But everything else was sooo good. Definitely very dramatic and over the top, but I don't read books for the realism.
There were a lot of timeskips. A LOT. I don't really like time skips but I acknowledge that for the format of the book it was mandatory. The format being not at all like the blurb makes it seems to be. The blurbs described the book like it takes time in the present and there are only flashbacks. That's not true. About 50% of the book proceeds with time jumps.
Also Tommy can fold me over like a beach chair, but his book isn't in audiobook format so I won't here that sweet irish accent. UGh
And if you like Wes Ravenel from Lisa Kleypas' "The Ravenels" you wil like Henry. They are literally the same person. Not that his archetype is very original. But do you see me caring? NO. I will eat his book uP.

he ATE that bullet, jesus h. christ

This was a great slowburn, over years of sweet bonding moments for Ellie and Logan. I enjoyed reading each piece to their puzzle.

They had chemistry and there was affection, but I feel as though the sizzle was reduced with all the time jumps. It was a bit awkward to keep track of, and things would get going and then skip ahead. With nothing physical even close to happening for 60%.

The updates on prior couples were fun (even having only read Henry's story), and I appreciated the group dynamic.

The suspense was present but over fairly quickly and a bit random.

All in all, this was sweet. I liked the joie de vivre of Ellie and the rogueish stoicism. of Logan and how they met in the middle.
