While I'm usually not a big fan of time jumps, the combination that it only moved forward (not back) and stuck to the important books made it fast paced. I shipped Logan and Ellie from page one, and I liked seeing the Queen take her under her wing.
"Life changes us, with its twists and turns, in ways we don’t always see coming. It changes what we want, what we dream, lays blessings in our hands better than anything we could’ve imagined."
Emma Chase did it again. Royally Endowed is wickedly sexy, funny with loads of heartfelt moments and characters that you can’t help but root for.
Logan St. James is the dutiful royal bodyguard tasked to guard Princess Olivia Hammond’s baby sister, Ellie. Since her sister married into the royal family, Ellie’s life changed. Part of that change is the stable of bodyguards following her every move and keeping her safe. And provide Ellie with some eye candy along the way.
Logan is the hot, heroic, silent type and unsurprisingly, Ellie developed a crush on him from the get go. As Ellie grew older, that crush developed into something more. But Logan has always been a loyal and dutiful bodyguard. He wouldn’t jeopardize his job or his relationship with the royal family. So even though he started to see Ellie as someone other than the princess’ younger sister, he can’t be with her the way Ellie wanted to. Or so he thought.
Royally Endowed is probably the most romantic of all the books in this series. And that’s because Logan is just something else. He might not be a prince but man oh man, he gave Nicholas and Henry a run for their money. And for me, he’s my favorite hero in this series. Don’t get me wrong. I love Nicholas and Henry but there’s just something about Logan that puts him above the rest.
His loyalty and dedication to his job, not to mention the way he handled Ellie’s crush on him was endearing. I never felt like he took advantage of her especially since she’s way younger than him and basically still in high school when the story started.
Ellie is just as endearing. She’s a free-spirit and even though people see her as nothing but an airhead, she’s more than that. She displays a maturity that’s unexpected considering how young she is. She’s loves her family and is loyal to a fault. I love how she loves Logan in her own way, at a distance at first and then up close.
For the first time since I met him, my hero looks lost, my guardian angel has a broken wing. And I want to mend him, save him the way he’s always saved me. I want to love him until he feels found.
Their relationship was never easy because of the difference of their status. Ellie is the sister of the princess of Wessco, while Logan is just the lowly bodyguard. But their differences is superficial. At the heart of it, Logan and Ellie have more in common than anyone else. I really enjoyed the way their relationship unfolded.
And Logan…*swoon He made this book for me. He had so much too lose with pursuing Ellie but once he decided that she’s it for him, he’s there 100%. And I loved him for it.
"You see the good in people, Ellie. You trust. That’s a good way to be, a brave way. I’ll watch more closely from now on; I’ll make sure this never happens again. You just be who you are. Leave the rest to me."
Emma Chase has another winner in her hands. If you’re a fan of her writing, then this book is a must read. And if you’re looking to be swept away by romance, yes, this book is for you.

Royally Endowed was a cute read and reminded me a little bit of [b:Tangled Like Us|38260251|Tangled Like Us (Like Us, #4)|Krista Ritchie|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1540145286s/38260251.jpg|59940428]. Ellie and Logan gave me some Jane and Thatcher vibes.
Some thoughts on the book (**Spoilers alert**):
- I love Olivia and Nicholas! It was nice catching up with their life. Pregnant Olivia with her bat, how can you not love her?
- I haven't read Royally Matched yet, but I really liked Henry & Sarah in this book. I will read RM sometimes in the future yeah yeah I'm not reading the series in order.
- There were too many time jumps! I didn't like that Ellie & Logan had a scene and then the next one would jump to 5 months later, it irritated me.
- The romance between Ellie and Logan was a bit too slow for me, literally, nothing happens between these two until the 60% mark. The first half of the book they were kind of dancing around each other with so many different stories in the background (Olivia's pregnancy & stalker problem, Henry&Sarah's wedding etc.) that it didn't feel like it was their book. I would have like to see more scenes with them as a couple.
- Ellie & Olivia are sibling goals! It was so awesome to see how they protected and stood up for each other.

"So it's like a...you jump, I jump, Jack and Rose kind of thing?"
"No." I take her hand in mine, brushing my thumb against her knuckles. "You jump... and I'll be there to catch you."

On the one hand, I absolutely loved this, which is no surprise. On the other hand, I was so anxious about the bad thing that was going to happen and then it was over so quick that the anticipation felt completely unnecessary.
To talk a little more about Ellie and Logan, do not worry about the age difference. Ellie begins Royally Endowed still in high school and while she flirts with Logan, he is really respectful of her and acknowledges her age. The book kind of walks through a few different big events in the character's lives and I just really respected the way it was handled. Logan's also very conflicted about his feelings toward Ellie because of how it jeopardizes his job, which is such a real and legitimate reason, so I appreciated that.

This was really lovely. The slow burn was done to perfection. The epilogue was the cherry on top.
Reread May 2020: I still loved this the second time around. The slow burn between Ellie and Logan is very satisfying in the end.

Now, this is what I'm talking about.
Oh my gods, this book was so good and it was definitely right. Slow burns are the best ones.
Logan St. James and Ellie Hammond are my absolute favorite couple. They were cute and hot and perfect for each other. From the very first time they interacted to the end of the book I could feel the love and connection between them and it was amazing.
I liked the dynamics going on here and the growth but that had to be with the fact that we have known the couple individually for a while so all the situations and responses made sense so none of that was really rushed and it was great to see how a crush developed into something more.
Ellie was such a ray of sunshine, it reminded me a bit of Daisy Calloway in her kind spirited way. So I liked her a lot right off the start and as the book went on I was happy to read the woman she became.
As for Logan, man, he was something. I fell so hard for him. He was your stereotypical tall, dark haired and broody hero but he was also more than that -he was cute and loyal and very nice in the good man kind of way.
Overall I loved this book and loved how we could see the big events in book one and two from Ellie and Logan's POV because all that madness added something extra to their relationship but if there was something that bothered me was the ending.
I didn't like the whole view to the future and all the babies because while I loved Ellie and Logan, seeing them as parents was way too rushed and more than that, I respect any woman who decides to stay and raise her children but Ellie had big ass dreams which never materialized and it felt as she was, in fact, settled down. It's not the case but the fact that the book had to clarify that she was okay staying at home with the babies? it left a bitter taste for me.
I wish the book hadn't ended that way and just leave it wide open but I did enjoyed my time with this story and the trilogy as a whole.
