Just throw this on the pile of royalty books by Emma Chase that I love lol

I loved Logan and Ellie. Ellie was so sweet and true to herself, I really liked that about her. Logan was fiercely protective and kind. Of course I ended up reading the third book and not reading the 2 before, ugh. Although they can be read as standalones, since I already know what will happen with the other 2 couples I won't be reading the others.

3 stars!

Honestly, I just read this so I could continue on with the series.. I wasn't that interested in this couple in the first place. #sorrynotsorry

I liked the buildup more than the actual coupling. ..whoops

I've loved every book in this series and this book was no exception! The banter between the Logan and Ellie was great, and I loved how the author went forward in time so as to give Ellie a little more life experience. It didn't seem pushed or rushed and I really liked their story. I really hope Tommy gets a book someday because I really liked his character and would love to see him get a HEA too.

Actual rating: 3.5 stars

maybe 3.5?? maybe just 4?? this was so much fun it really got the yearning and angst... love the bodyguard trope so much... did not love the random stalker plot :// however this had yearning, a fire, hurt/comfort, angst... what more could I ask for? NOTHING!

I could just tell it was dumb. Also the narrator was comically bad at a girl’s voice.

Talk about a slow burn. Logan is the best kind of man, he’s strong, loyal and gives 100% of himself to those he loves. And man does he love Ellie. Ellie really grew into herself during this story. It really was a amazing story.

Short Review

When I finished this book I was trying to find a reason not to give it a 5 star. I mean, look at that title and cover, I’m sorry, but that's a no from me, y'all.

But then I realized...I’m being such a snob.

Because this book hits so hard. It is 100% a 5 star read for me.

It has everything I want in a read.

✓ Delicious angst.
✓ Swoonworthy forbidden love.
✓ A damsel in need of rescuing (I’m sorry but sometimes this is a need not a want for me).
✓ And a love story that will make your heart sing, your eyes weep, and your arms flail around as you scream into the pages.

Yeah, this one’s the one.
