Short. Cute. Plenty of action. I haven't read His Dark Materials, but I think I might start. It seems more interesting than I gave it credit for.

A fun and easy read with really lovely illustrations, not sure what else can be really said. I do wish it was longer but that’s always what I want with Philip Pullman’s books. It is flawed but in the ways made forgiveable that this is very much a children’s book (I’m absolutely not 27 and reading this, any suggestion is slanderous.) It was very easily wrapped up with very much a “well of course” ending that was hardly foreshadowed, but again. Kids book.

All in all good fun.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect more from this book. Felt a very pointless read in the grand scheme of things, but that's not to say it wasn't well written and atleast somewhat enthralling; it's just a shame it ended as it was starting to get exciting.
