Listen, I love an unlikable character just as much as the next one. In fact, the more flawed the better - but the female main character in this book felt so irredeemable. Mostly, though, she was just annoying. I barely made it through this book, skimmed a lot of it, and then we didn’t even get them revealing their secret relationship until 92% of the way into the story. The dramatics were over the top, and I wasn’t really feeling the writing.

"This woman was exceptional in every way. She was brave and kind and more empathetic than I’d ever realized. There was absolutely no way I wasn’t going to spend the rest of my life pining for her. Two years ago, we had kissed. A moment I still relived almost every day. After that night, I vowed to make her mine. To take my time, get to know her, and lock her down forever. Because she was one of a kind. Things had changed. She’d never be mine now. But fuck if I didn’t wish it were possible."
I'm so sad this series is over. Enemies to lovers historically isn't a favorite trope of mine. But I LOVED it in this storyline. Adele and Finn's story is one I will not soon forget.
The unfolding mystery of the Gagnon's and the Herberts enriched the narrative, revealing new layers with each installment. Reaching the end of this remarkable series was an emotional journey, yet it's evident that Lovewell, Maine has more to give. I'm so here for it!

Screaming. Crying. Laughing. I am continuously blown away by daphne and this series. The way the mystery is unfurled through every story and every couple has been able to help pull pieces of the puzzle together. I can’t believe that’s all of the Gagnon siblings. I want more! The Bonus epilogues are beautiful but now I want all four families worth of stories for the town of Lovewell!
This took me much longer to read than it should have. I feel like there were so many repeated things and too many unnecessary details. Finn is the ultimate unicorn of a man but the story as a whole was just meh for me.

What a fantastic end to a wonderful series.
Adele & Finn captured my heart! I loved their banter, chemistry & communication. From the first moment these two were electric. I absolutely loved them. They’re definitely for fans of reverse grumpy/sunshine.
I was a little nervous going into this one since it has the accidental pregnancy trope (not a fan) but I shouldn’t have been. It doesn’t happen until later in the story so I could enjoy the enemies with benefits and watching Adele & Finn fall in love.
I feel Elliot’s writing is at its best here. I couldn’t put the book down. I needed more of the couple. I also liked that the mystery/suspense storyline wrapped up nicely without overshadowing the romance. The story flowed effortlessly and kept me turning the pages.
He-Man was adorable! We need more dogs in future books please.
The steamy scenes were great and dirty. Viking lumberjack did not disappoint!! Hint: there’s outdoor fun & strip ax throwing

I was SO EXCITED to finally get the story on bada$$ Adele Gagnon and Finn Hebert!
.
The Gagnon’s & Heberts bad blood has only grown since the discovery that Patriarch Mitchel Hebert ordered the death of their Father. Despite the culprit being behind bars Adele is not satisfied nor is she recovered from the loss of her Dad. Finn Hebert begins working for Gagnon lumber since his Family’s business is in limbo with his Father’s misdeeds tied to it. Adele is NOT happy. Especially when she is wildly attracted to the Viking Lumberjack which Finn not only picks up on but reciprocates. Finn is determined to make the formidable force that is Adele Gagnon his but being the strong bada$$ woman she is it is NOT an easy feat.
I LOVED seeing the way that Adele & Finn’s relationship started and grew into something that neither was expecting but makes them feel like they’ve finally found their person. Finn’s possessive alpha maleness is HOT and the way that Adele continuously supports & challenges him is exactly what he needs.
The Family’s are not likely to be thrilled with this development but when love is involved the rules go out the window.
