30 years later and still one of my favorite kid books. The boy loved it too.

Great book for littles who like silliness with a little bit of gross sprinkled on top.

Wayside school was built wrong - thirty stories one on top of each other instead of like a normal school all on one floor. The teachers are wacky, the kids are silly and the stuff that happens each day is awfully suprising.

Each chapter focuses on a different student so they all stand alone.

I remembered that this series was wild, but I forgot the extremes to which it went, and legitimately
w h a t was going through Louis Sachar's head as he wrote??

A piece of my childhood and it still tastes like hilarious perfection.
