Ahh this book was amazing! Full of angst, tension, secrecy and emotion. I loved it all.
Oh man Eve has layers and some of the things she keeps close to get chest broke my heart. But she’s also snarky and her sarcastic humour is my favourite.
Kyle is a single dad, to an adorable little boy and you can’t help, but fall for both of them. With that and a ten year gap, plus a bunch of other things that make their love forbidden, but they have an instant spark connection and are perfect for each other. I loved the bartering, the hut, the winks, the smiles, just everything. The chemistry between them is insane and beautiful and I couldn’t get enough of them, also the steam was 😮💨
If I could’ve binged this one, I would have. It’s insanely addicting and I hated that life didn’t let me 😆. There were points that I screamed into my pillow, cried because my heart was breaking, but also laugh and swooned. I am in love with this book and this series!

Jewel E. Ann wrecked me in the best possible way 🥺🍎
I’m still sitting here, staring at the wall, because The Apple Tree left me an emotional wreck. This was my first book by Jewel, and wow, she delivered.
Kyle and Eve’s story? It’s everything—angsty, raw, forbidden, and so beautifully written that I’m obsessed.
I laughed. I cried. I had to take several moments to breathe. This story took me through it all.
The small-town setting made everything feel so real, and the forbidden aspect? Oof. It hit hard in the best way. Look, this book isn’t just some light romance. It goes deep. It's raw, messy, and packs some serious emotional punches. We’re talking about real-life baggage, secrets, loss, and healing. And you can feel every single bit of it. Kyle’s not ready for love again, but Eve? She’s exactly what he needs, even if he doesn’t realize it at first.
The twists? Gut-wrenching 💔
The romance? Forbidden perfection 🖤
The ending? Hopeful and so worth every tear I cried.
I’m so damn glad I picked this up. If you love a good, angst-filled, emotionally charged romance, this is your sign. Can’t wait for more from Jewel E. Ann! 🙌💖
🍎 Age gap
🍎 Single dad
🍎 Forbidden romance
🍎 Preacher’s daughter
🍎 Small-town secrets
Kyle and Eve are going to live rent-free in my head for a long time. Obsessed. ❤️🔥 Thank you for the ARC!

I couldn’t put this one down!
This is the second book in Jewel’s Sunday Morning series and it is a beautiful story. Because well, that’s what Jewel does, she writes beautifully emotional stories that will make you feel all the feels.
Eve and Kyle’s story is one of those stories that’s going to grab your attention on the first page and keep you captive til the very end. Their story is not an easy one, they have more obstacles than most, but their connection is strong, the question is, is it strong enough?
I am a huge fan of Jewel, I love how she tells a story, she takes tropes and makes them her own, and I dare you to read her books and not become a fan.

We were a tinderbox, and every touch and look sparked an uncontrollable flame.
Honestly, I don’t even know what I’m allowed to say about this book other than it’s a forbidden age gap romance that’s so emotionally charged that it put me through the wringer and had me up early into the morning reading to see what would happen. Eve, the preacher’s freshly graduated “rebel” middle daughter and Kyle, the new next door neighbor, who is a single dad and the high school math teacher just can’t seem to stay away from each other even though they know they probably should. I loved their story because of course it’s forbidden and angsty, but it also goes deeper than their romance in ways that will make you care for these characters.
Anyway. If you enjoy forbidden age gap romance that will hit all the emotional checkpoints, while still being funny, steamy, and relatable, then The Apple Tree is the perfect read for you!

For a stolen moment, I wasn’t a single dad; she wasn’t ten years younger. I was a man who wanted to kiss a woman.
“I don’t want to be your regret.”
“I would never regret you.”
My dream wasn’t a place. It was a person.

Eve 🥹🫶🏻
I absolutely loved her so dang much!
She had me cackling with her sense of humor. I felt for her so much at the end and what she went through.
Kyle and Josh… be still my heart. Josh was so cute and funny, I loved the bond Eve had with him.
Kyle and Eve together. The connection and chemistry between them had me so giddy and squealing!
Once again all the feels and emotions🫶🏻

I think I'm still crying! Wow! Completely and utterly speechless on how incredible this book was. I cried for a solid four chapters straight. An absolutely incredible age gap-romance. For an age-gap it was humbling read. There was sincerity, banter (ohhh the banter), humor, wittiness, coming of age, a sexy MMC, and passion.
The Apple Tree 🍎 is book two of the Sunday Morning series where we dive into Eve's story. Eve is the middle daughter of three sisters of the Jacobson family. She graduated high school and has no big plans on what to do next. Eve is spontaneous, the wild one with a big heart. As mature as Eve is, there is still a level of innocence that might of had some eye rolls, but it made you pause mid-roll, because you remember being 18 and it makes the story so relatable. You can't help but put yourself in Eve's shoes over here crush of the new neighbor. Her feelings and attitude all are palpable.
New neighbors move in and we meet Kyle, new football coach, high school teacher, and single dad to Josh. Kyle is the epitome of everything you want to read in an age-gap romance. A heart of passion, a deep love for being a father, charming and "phew" the sweet and dirty talk you want. He is well aware "taking a bite of the forbidden fruit" is crossing a line but when friendship and desire collide there is no stopping the consequences.
I can promise the minute you pick up this book, you will not want to stop reading. From the first page to the last, everything about this story was perfect. Even the frustrating, I want to shake the characters moments, was perfect. Jewel E. Ann 100% knows how to capture a reader.
I finished this read in 72 hours. Picking my favorite quotes is going to be challenging. I loved Sunday Morning but I absolutely adore and obsessed with The Apple Tree!

I loved this one !!
After reading Sunday Morning I was dying for Eve’s book and I loved her so so much. She was SO witty and I want to be her friend with her quick one liners.
Kyle was hottt. I love love loved their passion and chemistry. The way he always grabbed her for a kiss, or made sure he kissed her first and then said “okay you can be mad now” ugh swoon. Love it so much.
This book had some heavier themes but I really loved how it played out and how it felt like such a real story. I would have liked some closure on Melinda, and some more grovelling but I loved this book and highly recommend! Kyle’s steady patience really reminded me of my husband and he was so perfect for Eve the firecracker.
I cannot wait for Gabby’s book!!

This book was such a classic Jewel book. It was a little forbidden, and little emotional, and full of great moments from start to finish. Eve’s free spirit was so refreshing. While she didn’t know what she wanted in life, she knew what she wanted in love and wasn’t afraid to go after it. Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. What a man. His words weren’t always perfect (though a lot of the time they were), but his intentions were. I loved him. Josh was the cutest little kid and I absolutely loved him. He was so sweet and innocent and loving. Sometimes single dad books don’t always feel real because the kid isn’t in the story a ton, but Josh was woven throughout the story so well. I loved this book!
