Such a sweet book. Norman has a crush on the new girl in class, but it seems so do all the other boys. While the others do everyrhing they can to impress her, Norman is just a good friend. And when the boys start bullying Norman, Wilamena surprises everyone by stepping up for him. Goes to show, nice guys don't always finish last.

Such a cute story for little ones. Valentine's Day comes and Norman hopes that Wilhemina will be his Valentine. Will she choose Norman or will she choose one other other classmates who go out of their way to ruin Normans card for her?
This story has conflict, attraction, kindness, dedication, bullying, and girl power! Something for everyone in this Valentine's Day picture book.

I needed a book from a library display and a title that started with the letter V, so I was in luck that the library had their Valentine's kid-lit display up early. This was a quick, sweet read with a good message about being yourself and not being a dickhead. The main characters were charming (some of their peers, not so much) and the illustrations were cute. The story is a tad old-fashioned without being stodgy and provides a nice contrast to [b:XO, OX: A Love Story|29102930|XO, OX A Love Story|Adam Rex|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1483086727s/29102930.jpg|49340954].
