I wish I would have know how much I would have enjoyed this book years ago. I never really knew what this was about, but I wasn't expecting it to be about a girl who dreamed of becoming a mercenary to get away from her life at home, and a world where most mercenaries have their own rules and code of conduct. I was definitely invested in learning more about both the character and the setting.
