Book of the year so far. Brilliant, sad, lovely, inspiring. It has it all.
I loved the way this story was told and the character Simonopio so much!!
While I actually really did enjoy this, and fell in love with lots of the characters, I didn't have the pull to it that I expected to have. I think it might be one of those stories that stick with me later down the line. We will see, might come back and award it another star in a day or so.

This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.
Wow!!!! What an amazing novel. Though Simonopio is not able to communicate with anyone (he has a cleft pallet) he has managed to grow and develop a network of family members and a symbiotic nature with the bees that saved his life as a baby abandoned under a bridge.
Murmur of Bees is sure to a book that will bring so much joy to your reading life!

This book reminds me of the style of 100 Years of Solitude. I can’t say I fully understand everything and I reread several parts in it, but I really enjoyed it.
Magical and leaves a layer of dust behind. Nostalgic and meandering. Across a lifetime.
