Pretty good

Loved this book, but can't disagree with some of the criticisms. Mainly it was a slow read, but still engaging.

4.5 stars but the writing was so beautiful I rounded up. The pacing of this novel was much slower than my usual picks, but I was the characters and writing were so good that I was compelled to finish. I would definitely recommend, but if you prefer fast-paced reads, you might want to know going in that this book won’t be that.

It’s not the type of book I would normally read, but I did enjoy it. However, it took me quite a while to get through it, because even though I wanted to know how the story ends, I just didn’t experience that “gripping” feeling where I didn’t want to put the book down. It was beautifully written and interesting; it’s just not type of genre.
