This volume had me gasping for breath. It was so dark and intense. I started deciding what to read based off a random post on Reddit, so this is the first Batman volume I’ve ever read that involved the joker. They recommended that the owl arc was a good starter, because it introduced a wide range of characters and did such a good job of explaining who is as a person. Random Reddit user was so right. I’m absolutely positive. I will never read another Batman comic that transcends this one. The other two volumes were interesting, but this volume has got me hooked on Batman forever.
Sickest Joker ever. I loved this book!

This is a truly creepy story. What the did with with the Joker’s face is scary but they focused on face close ups and plenty of death.
Kind of disappointing after the three Of Owls arcs. Hoping the Zero Year arcs are better.
