There was so much about this that I liked but there were several parts that just didn't sit right with me. This had great characters as usual, fantastic appearances by former main characters, chemistry, an adorable kid, and love. However, the reasons why Hunter needed to be there, how his being there would even help, and the whole way it was resolved was just weird and didn't make a whole lot of sense. If it hadn't been for watching Maisy finally get her happily ever after that she so rightly deserved and a beautiful man by her side I'm not sure that it would have kept my interest. A cute little boy also helped.

Great epilogue. I'm surprised, however, that the next book which is also the final book is not going to be Paxton's story. Especially, considering that Milo has been mentioned in several books as being together or married to Sarah.

3.5

I was really curious about Maisy's story since reading The Coppersmith Farmhouse. I couldn't wait for that young woman to find her happily ever after in The Bitterroot Inn.

Maisy faced a highly traumatizing event in her past that left her a little broken and scared of opening up her heart. Hunter was truly the perfect candidate to make her trust in love again. The guy was swoon worthy and right away there was this incredible connection between these two. It was lovely to also watch Hunter bonding with Maisy's little boy Cody. It was clear the man was all in with her. Despite her troubled past, Maisy was still a joyful person enjoying a simple life with her son. She's sweet, kind-hearted and has a chamring personality.

There was a bit of drama in this book, making this read so captivating. Secrets made this couple's romance challenging when everything was said and done, but their feelings were so palpable and real!

As usual with the Jamison Valley Series, the whole Prescott gang was there to make this read a pure pleasure. This series is truly something wonderful with this sense of togetherness between all these characters. The Bitterroot Inn was definitely another winner from Devney Perry!

I am conflicted between 3.5 and 4 STARS but rounded up due to my love of Perry. The pace was a little slower and the big twist flat. Since Maisy had been a fixture since the first book, I had anticipated more to her story. I adored Coby and seeing all the previous JV couples. The epilogue was everything!
