HOLY WOW!!! This was an absolutely perfect book!! I finished the last page of the epilogue with happy tears pouring down my face, my heart racing wildly, and experiencing an overflow of contentment because this book was truly incredible! The perfect ending to a perfect series! It was the ultimate romance novel and I lost myself for many blissful hours in this story swooning over absolutely everything about it! It features a strong single mom, her utterly adorable little son, and one of the most heart-meltingly sexy and protective heroes you’ll ever read!!

The Bitterroot Inn is the fifth book in the Jamison Valley companion series and it was yet another hit. I didn't like this one more than The Outpost, but I still loved it.
Maisy is a single mom and owner of The Bitterroot Inn in Prescott, Montana and she loves it. Her life is pretty busy, but that's better for her. Keeping busy means she doesn't have time to think about the past and what she'll one day have to tell her son about his father.
Hunter saw her once from afar and ran in the opposite direction, he's been back to Prescott once before, but now he's here to stay. He knows he should keep his distance from Maisy, but he can't. He's drawn to her and she seems to be falling for him. But will their secrets and past be something they can overcome?
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters. As always it was nice to see past characters and get little glimpses into their lives. But I was excited to finally read Maisy's story. I enjoyed her character from the first book and couldn't wait to see what would happen with her. Hunter was a great character and perfect for Maisy and Coby. I loved watching their relationships develop throughout the book. And I loved the added mystery of Hunter's past. I think it was all paced perfectly and the reveals were times perfectly.
A book I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the following:
✔️ Small Town
✔️ Single Mom
✔️ Hidden Identity
✔️ Mystery/Suspense
✔️ First Person Dual POV
