My first read by Tony Parsons and I know for sure that it’s not going to be the last!
Tara has it all, a husband, a son and her own business but when she goes to Tokyo for work she sleeps with a stranger and now the man will not leave her alone.
This was a really good read, told in both Tara and her husband Christian points of view. The story played out well and I was thrown so many red herrings I didn’t know what to believe. By the end though, everything fell together nicely.
Definitely recommend this one if you like a good twisty read.

Your Neighbour’s Wife was an action-packed thriller filled with manipulation, lies, and consequences. So much happened that the story was never boring yet we still got to know each of the characters so well and figure out the mystery element as the book progressed. Right up until the end I wasn’t entirely certain who the killer was so even that was a huge reveal after all that had happened.
I really enjoyed looking back in hindsight both myself and through the chapter following the reveal exploring how the murder occurred to see just what had happened and how each character reacted with the knowledge they had at the time. Because of the nature of what happens during the story, there was a lot of time spent looking into various relationships throughout and how they individually break down, or not, and I loved these comparisons, which at times almost made me forget the thriller elements at all, so it was a real mixed bag of a book.
I will say this genre isn’t my favourite ever but I did still quite enjoy the book, being the first Tony Parsons I’ve ever read, and think a lover of psychological thrillers would really like it. There was just something about it that made me not really want to keep going back to it, so for my person enjoyment I’ve rated this 3 stars overall but I feel like as a book itself it’s more like a 4 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley for very kindly sending me an advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It was the first book that I have read by the author but I will definitely be checking out more as I am a big fan of psychological thrillers.
Right from the off I could tell that this author was a very experienced and talented writer as from the beginning you are right in there with the characters. Also, I really liked the way that t he author developed his characters, both make and female, which is something you do not often see at such a high level.
There are lots of twists and turns and it is a book that you will soon be flying through the chapters.
The I my negative point for me was the title. Not sure if I missed something but I could not find a way of linking king the title to the storyline.
This is a story told from both sides of a relationship. It is a live story and a murder and crime story but I feel that the way the book is written it will appeal to many audiences.
If ever there was a book that should have a Spotify playlist with it then this is a great example as I could imagine the soundtrack playing in the background which gave a different dimension to the environment..
Many thanks to Netgalley, Random House UK, Cornerstone and Tony Parsons for providing me with an advanced review copy of this bok, in digital format, in exchange for a balanced review

This book is about Tara & Christian Carver. Tara has her own internet dating app business and Christian is a full time dad to their son Marlon. Everything seems perfect until one day Tara goes to Japan for a business conference. She meets a man and has a one night stand. This will turn out to be the biggest mistake of her life. Tara thinks that she will never see him again but he tracks her down and makes her life a misery & Tara’s happy family life will never be the same again.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and it will not be the last. I really enjoyed the writing style and the story really gripped me from the start. I enjoyed the exploration of the different characters in the book. What we initially see on the outside is not necessarily the whole story. There are a few things that prevented me giving this 5 stars. Firstly I questioned some of the police procedures and whether people could be charged on the evidence that the police had. I also guessed the ending but was not fully convinced. I also think that the book could have been condensed a little bit as there was some unnecessary detail in my opinion. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more of Tony’s work.

Tara Carver puts her whole life at risk when she has a ONS with James Caine at a work conference.
It was well written & pacy, but I just felt irritated by most of the characters.
Thanks to NetGalley & publishers, Random House UK/Cornerstone, for the opportunity to read an ARC. I am voluntarily giving an honest review.
